September 7th
Examples of a unique art on slate practised by the quarrymen of Dyffryn Ogwen has been put on show in an exibition at the Gwynedd Museum, Bangor.
The late Gwenno Caffell, a local historian from Tregarth, carefully recorded these works, with assistance, and published a book about them.
The exhibition is on at the Gwynedd Museum Bangor until 16th of October
The Gwynedd Museum and Gallery is open Tuesday to Friday, 12.30pm to 4.30pm; Saturday 10.30am to 4.30pm. Admission is free.

The Penrhyn Railway Society held their annual general meeting at Felin Fawr Works today.
Members of the society congratulated the railway volunteers who have achieved so much during the last twelve months.
Contractors have been appointed to complete the restoration of the locomotive shed, the work includes extensive repairs to the roof of the building.
Following a well deserved break, Penrhyn Railway volunteers will return to the site to lay track once the mainline trackbed has been prepared.
